Toup Pou Yo Académie Sportive

Overview

Toup Pou Yo Académie Sportive is the largest of the FOFPI member clubs by active player count, with 507 players across twelve age categories from U8 to U19. The academy is based in Bombardopolis, a remote commune in the Northwest department roughly 163 kilometres from Limbé and around five hours by car from major regional infrastructure. Founded on 5 June 2011, Toup Pou Yo was created in direct response to a clear social need, in a region where leisure infrastructure and opportunities are limited, football represents far more than a game.

Mission & Vision

Toup Pou Yo describes football as a lifeline for the children of Bombardopolis. The academy's mission is to give young people a structured alternative to the streets, using football as a vehicle for education, character formation, and social integration. Three pillars guide the work: respect, perseverance, and a sense of responsibility, values that translate from the pitch into daily life. The long-term vision is to develop infrastructure capable of producing players who can compete at international level, anchored by a planned Mini Sports Park on land the academy has already secured.

What They Need

• Football field development and funding to deliver the planned Mini Sports Park on the academy's secured land • Full equipment package: kits, footballs, football boots, shin guards, corner flags, backpacks, coaching gear, whistles, and stopwatches • Transport support to bridge the geographical isolation from Limbé (around 163 km), and a daily hot meal programme for players
