Club Centre Sport et Art Football

Overview

Club Centre Sport et Art Football, written CCSAF on its registration sheets and Club CSA Football in its own budget dossier, is a youth football academy in Cap-Haïtien, in Haiti's Nord department. The centre behind it opened in 2016 to house young people from the age of two and train them in sport and the arts, while supporting them through school and into technical and professional education. The football club was formally founded in 2018 to give that project a competitive structure. The academy registers 77 players across four categories, U14, U15, U16 and U18. Seven people run it, all volunteers on no salary. Marcel Jean-Baptiste founded the centre and works as Sporting Director and head coach. He funds the work himself, helped by friends and by the children's families, who the club describes as its first backers. The club builds its culture on five values: discipline, respect, work, solidarity and the pursuit of excellence.

Mission & Vision

The club's mission is to offer quality football training while supporting young players in their personal development. Its vision is to become a reference academy in the region, forming players who are competent on the pitch and responsible off it. To get there the club sets out four aims: structured technical coaching, training conditions fit for the work, regular competition, and an environment that builds discipline and self confidence. For the 2026 to 2027 season it wants to raise the quality of technical training, develop players individually and collectively, prepare better for competition, strengthen its coaching staff, and equip each category properly.

What They Have

• 77 registered players across four categories: U14 with 16, U15 with 25, U16 with 20 and U18 with 16 • A seven person committee, every one of them a volunteer on no salary: Anderson Mompremier as President General, Marcel Jean-Baptiste as Sporting Director and head coach, Richardson Petit-Frère on accounting and finance, Romario Edmond as administrative secretary, Frantz-Charson Jean on human resources, Mickenson Chrismos on communications and Nimrod Luc on promotion and publicity • Complete registration records for every player, each with a photograph, date of birth and playing position • A training rhythm of one session a week in term time, roughly four to five a month, rising to three sessions a week in the holidays, roughly twelve to fifteen a month • Regular competition, four to five matches a month per category • Ten years of continuous work with young people in Cap-Haïtien since the centre opened in 2016

What They Need

Playing and training equipment • 150 balls, 50 each in sizes 3, 4 and 5 • 77 player kits and 6 goalkeeper kits • 77 pairs of boots and 6 pairs of gloves • 40 bibs, 100 cones, 100 markers, 30 poles, 10 ladders and 20 hurdles • 4 mini goals, 4 nets, 4 pumps, 4 ball bags, 4 cool boxes and 80 water bottles Health and welfare • 4 first aid kits and 2 massage tables • Medical staff and player insurance. The club wants both and says it cannot reach them on its own • Meals at training. The club serves none at the moment and states plainly that the will is there but the means are not Coaching and administration • 10 whistles, 6 stopwatches and 10 tactics boards • 1 laptop, 1 printer, 2 desks, 12 chairs and 2 cabinets • Birth certificates for the squad. Almost every registration sheet is marked pas encore remis, not yet submitted
